Midtown Demolition to Make Way for Mixed-Use Project

Detroit-based Ferlito Group LLC plans to begin razing a 1924 apartment building on Selden on Monday to make way for a $4-million, mixed-use development, Crain's Detroit Business reports.

The Marie Apartments at 438 Selden will be replaced by a new 22,000-square-foot building with a dozen condominiums, a new office for Ferlito Group and a high-end restaurant, Mike Ferlito of Ferlito Group tells Kirk Pinho.

The blighted, vacant building has boarded-up windows and serious structural problems.
