The QLINE began charging fares on Tuesday for the first time.
But that milestone did not come without glitches.
Some customers on Tuesday didn't have to pay because the payment machines aboard certain streetcars weren't working properly.
Dan Lijana, a spokesman for the M-1 RAIL, which operates the QLINE, said that the problem only occurred on a couple trains and the problem was fixed in the afternoon.
