A car driver caused an accident with a DDOT bus on Woodward and Canfield in Midtown Detroit early Monday afternoon. The car then smashed into a QLine streetcar that wasn't moving.
The accident shut down the rail line while police investigate.
Two people aboard the QLine were treated at the scene. Two bus passengers and the car driver had minor injuries treated at hospital, says Nicole Simmons, marketing manager for DDOT.
The incident happened after 1 p.m., according to Dan Lijana, a Qline spokesman. The care pulled in front of a RefleX bus, which struck the car.
The car then went crashing into the side of a southbound QLine streetcar at the Canfield station.
