An arsonist set a blaze Wednesday night at the home where four people were found shot to death the night before in northeast Detroit, firefighters told Steve Neavling of Motor City Muckraker.
Investigators said the arsonist tried to set multiple fires at the house at 15310 Tacoma. The home sustained fire damage but was not destroyed. Neighbors told WDIV that the home was known as a drug house.
The Associated Press reported that the Wayne County medical examiner's office identified the victims as Shawn Bender, 16; Janetta Harris, 22; Jason Koester, 28; and Dyrelle Davis, 34. Three of the victims were shot in the head and Harris was shot multiple times, AP reported.
Arson investigators plan to comb the property for evidence.
About 24 hours earlier, a woman found her boyfriend and three others shot dead in the home.
