Derrick Felton
Derrick Felton, the owner of a pack of pit bulls that attacked and seriously maimed a 50-year-old man last October in Detroit, was arrested Monday, Fox 2 reports.
Felton faces felony charges in connection with dog attack against Steve Constantine, who lost an arm and a foot, and will require a total of 35 surgeries. He faces three counts of harboring dangerous animals causing serious injuries.
Police tell Fox 2 that a dozen dogs owned by Felton mauled Constantine as he walked down Pennsylvania Street. Police had to shoot and kill one of the dogs, the others were euthanized, Dave Spencer of Fox 2 reports.
Felton was arrested last year at the time of the incident on an unrelated warrant and was ticketed for the dog attack. The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office eventually issued felony charges, which led to Monday's arrest.
