It's a good opportunity to save cash.
Detroit's 36th District Court announced Wednesday a "2-Day Holiday Sales Event" in which the court will waive all late and warrant fees on outstanding balances owed on tickets.
People can take advantage of the offer by stopping by the court at 421 Madison Ave. on Dec. 28-29.
“Instead of going to the mall, we are encouraging people to take advantage of this one-time opportunity to restore their driving privileges and save hundreds of dollars on each ticket” said Chief Judge Nancy M. Blount in statement. “The New Year is a time for new beginnings and we are trying to help people start the year off with a clean slate.”
The court says the the two-day event will be held at the court from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.
The Court accepts cash, credit cards, money orders or checks.
