It's Monday, so to ease that I-can't-believe-the-weekend-is-over feeling, we look ahead to the next one.
The annual Palmer Park Art Fair in Detroit is Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with art, music and food.
The park is on the west side of Woodward, slightly north of West McNichols Road. at . The event features:
- Ninety juried artists, covering all mediums.
- Ten teen artists at the Mint Artists Guild Tent.
- Make a kite to fly at the Detroit Kite Festival.
- Face painting and henna tattoos
- See log cabin renovation in process.
- Create an Aziza Door with Arts & Scraps & DJM.
- Do a fiber project with Live Coal Gallery ($)
- Bring freshly purchased art to the framing tent.
- See the Doors of Opportunity - real doors decorated by Detroit artists to reflect their vision of the city.
