The Apparatus Room restaurant is slated to open May 15, Eater Detroit reports.

The restaurant is inside the new Detroit Foundation Hotel, which occupies the space at 250 W. Larned that previously housed the Detroit Fire Department headquarters. The 100-room hotel is also expected to be unveiled this month.

The Apparatus Room will occupy approximately 4,600-square-feet of space on the ground floor.

Brenna Houck of Eater reports:

Diners can expect dishes like pici pasta with beef heart and grated horseradish (billed as “an ode to Detroit’s love of coney[s]”), sustainably-sourced langoustine grilled over fresh pine with honey glaze and spring turnips, sea trout with roe and spiced cucumber broth, poached halibut, confit suckling pig shoulder, and green and ripe strawberries (served with Malabar black pepper and spring mint notes of orange, rhubarb, and aperol).
