Detroit is full of Coney Islands, and now here comes the first all-vegan one.
Chili Mustard Onions plans an April 1 debut in Detroit's Brush Park at 3411 Brush St., near Comerica Park.
Chef and co-owner Pete LaCombe, aka "Vegan Chef Pete," tells Tom Perkins of Metro Times that customers can expect food like at a standard coney island including vegan coneys, loose coneys, fries, chili cheese fries, gyros, wraps, tacos, salads, spinach pie, soups, beet balls, soft serve ice cream, desserts and kombucha.
Yes, it's all vegan.
