Justin Verlander
No need to panic now. But Jack Beck of MLB.com reports that Tigers right-hander Justin Verlander has been experiencing lingering soreness in his right triceps and will begin the 2015 season on the disabled list. He is now scheduled to start April 12 in Cleveland.
On top of that, George Sipple of Detroit Free Press reports that pitcher Bruce Rondon also will start the season on the disabled list.
He reports that an MRI exam of Rondon revealed tendinitis in his biceps. The upside: Pitching coach Jeff Jones doesn't think it's a long-term issue, though Rondon missed all of last season while recovering from elbow reconstruction.
