Eminem's ex-wife, Kim Mathers, faces a trial Wednesday on her high-profile drunk driving case, WXYZ reports.
After failing to reach a plea agreement last month, Mather will go on trial in 41A District Court in Shelby Township.
Mather has said that she intended to commit suicide by crashing her black Escalade at 23 Mile and Card roads after drinking alcohol and taking pills last October. She smashed into a ditch, hit a utility pole and landed upside down.
"I did this on purpose, and I’m so sorry. I never lied to (first responders). I told them everything that I did. I didn’t expect to make it out alive," she told the radio show "Mojo in the Morning” in May.
Police reports say Mathers told a first responder on the scene that she drank a fifth of Malibu rum.
