Michael Skupin
Former “Survivor” TV show contestant Michael Skupin was known for having the gift of gab. But he wasn't able to talk his way out of a prison sentence.
On Tuesday, Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Wendy Potts sentenced Skupin, 54, of White Lake Township, to one to four years in prison for child pornographic material, reports Holly Fournier of The Detroit News.
Illegal images were found on a computer while authorities were investigating a Ponzi scheme.
He was sentenced to probation and ordered to pay $31,800 in restitution for the scheme after he pleaded no contest. A "no contest" plea is similar to pleading guilty. The defendant concedes to the charges without disputing or admitting guilt.
