It's not easy to hijack an armored car.
But a man on a bike did on Oct. 1 in Troy and law enforcement authorities are still stumped as to the identity of the mystery man.
The FBI in Detroit announced Tuesday that it was offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the robber.
The Oct. 1 incident took place just prior to 9:30 a.m. when a man riding a bicycle and wearing a hooded sweatshirt and ski mask, approached the Total Armored van in front of Troy Athens High School on John R. Road in Troy and pointed a gun at the driver.
The FBI said the driver exited the vehicle and the suspect drove off in the armored car. It was recovered a short time later by the Troy Police Department behind the Troy International Church of God on East Wattles Road near North Rochester Road.
