Fugitive businessman George Kastanes, suspected of stealing as much as $5 million from the Detroit pension fund, is set to appear Thursday in court in Florida.

Kastanes, who had been island hopping in the Carribean, staying one step ahead of the feds, was captured Tuesday at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International airport after flying in from San Jose, Costa Rica, the Detroit News reported.  His wife remains at large, perhaps living large. -- A.L.
