On thing is for certain: The feds are serious about their criminal investigation into the city's demolition program.

The Office of the Special Inspector General for the Troubled Asset Relief Program issues two subpoenas seeking text messages, voicemails, emails, phone records, meeting notes and schedules of more than two dozen city officials, according to Ian Thibodeau of The Detroit News. The federal filing last May became public Friday.

The subpoenas targets the Detroit Land Bank Authority and Detroit Building Authority, which oversee blight reduction. The feds want information on federally funded contracts and a Detroit demolition firm.
