A 45-year-old Delta Connection pilot groped a sleeping girl seated next to him in the coach section of a flight from Detroit, according to a federal court complaint.

Michael Pascal, who's based in Detroit, was off-duty during last weekend's trip to Salt Lake City, Steve Pardo writes in Detroit News coverage.

Delta Connection pilot Michael Pascal, based in Detroit, is accused of improper touching.

He was in the middle seat next to an unaccompanied 14-year-old minor, according to an FBI agent's affidavit.

Pascal has been charged with intentionally touching directly or through the clothing a person older than 12 but younger than 16.

The agent says the girl, identified only as R.S., "woke up and noticed Pascal’s hand was under the left cheek of her buttocks. R.S. described Pascal’s hand has being far enough under her buttocks that his fingers were touching her inner thigh.”

The girl saw the armrest was upright, some of Pascal’s body weight was on her and that his eyes were open and “he was clearly awake,” according to the report.

The girl elbowed Pascal and said “What the hell are you doing?” and he pulled his hand out from under her. . . .

The girl left her seat and found a flight crew member.
