
The upside of cheaper gas is obvious: People save money.
The downside: There's suddenly less pressure to focus on alternative fuels.
In any event, The Detroit News reports that Michigan's gas prices have dropped below $3 per gallon for the first time in four years.
"Two-thirds of gas stations are below $3," says Susan Hiltz of AAA Michigan, according to Lauren Abdel-Razzaq of The News. "It's great news for everyone's wallet and great news before the holiday."
