For those looking to take a nice fall ride, and have a hankering to try a new joint, this is for you.
Free Press restaurant critic Sylvia Rector, has compiled a list of five restaurants outside of Metro Detroit that are worth a mini-road trip:
Here are five delightful spots — all located beyond Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties — that would make great destinations for a fall daytrip. They're all casual — but very different. Some stand out for their interesting menus, others for their atmosphere and history, and still others for the scenic drive you’ll have just getting there. And if you go for lunch, you can be home before dark! Some advice: Always call to confirm hours before leaving home, ask if reservations are needed and check menus online to be sure they're what you expect.
