Frightened Babysitter: Man Flees Cops With Toddler in His Arms

Note to the world: Don't ever use this man as a babysitter. 

CBS Detroit reports that Detroiter Vilary Reed was arrested Wednesday after fleeing police by car, crashing the car and then fleeing on foot with a 21-month old baby boy in his arms. Oh yes, he was babysitting for the toddler, according to the station.

The station reports that it all started when the Ferndale cops tried pulling over Reed, 23, who was driving a stolen Crown Victoria on Wednesday night.

Reed accelerated and went into Detroit, lost control of the car and crashed.

He then got out of the car with the baby in his arms and fled.

Then he apparently handed off the baby to a woman standing in a yard so he could run faster.

He was caught and the baby was recovered.
