A 6-year-old girl who nearly drowned in the swimming pool at the Beverly Hills Club on Southfield Road last week at a children's birthday party, died Thursday morning, the Birmingham Eccentric reports.
Emergency personnel from the Beverly Hills Public Safety Department responded to the club last Friday at approximately 6:30 p.m., Jay Grossman writes. The girl was pulled from the pool, CPR was performed and she was taken to Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital.
About 20 people were in the pool at the time and a lifeguard from the club was assigned to the party, the paper reported
“During this very difficult time for the child’s loved ones, on behalf of the entire Beverly Hills Club family, I want to share my deepest condolences with the parents and sibling of this little girl,” club president Steven Satovsky said in a statement Thursday evening, according to the Eccentric.
