GM plans to eliminate 1,300 salaried positions at its Warren Technical Center as part of a broader global restructuring that will see about 4,000 white-collar jobs cut. The plan is outlined in a filing with the state of Michigan, which says the workers' last day of employment will be Feb. 28. Wages and benefits will continue to be disbursed through April 9, the filing says.
The Detroit News first reported on the Feb. 4 filing.
