Good Samaritans Pull Innocent Victim From Fiery Police-Chase Crash

A woman's vehicle burst into flames Sunday night on Detroit's east side after the driver of a stolen car lost control and crashed into it.

Good samaritans rushed to help the woman as police rushed to catch the suspect.

The chase started in St. Clair Shores a little after 5 p.m. Sunday. St. Clair Shores police tell Fox 2 one of their officers was pursuing a man driving a stolen minivan. The suspect led police across 8 Mile into Detroit's east side. The suspect approached Hayes, just as 59-year-old Joyce Brooks was driving by, and the cars collided.
