L. Brooks Patterson, the tough-talking Oakland County executive, who took quite a bruising in as a passenger in a car crash on Friday in Pontiac, is "doing well," the Detroit News reports.

Patterson remained hospitalized Sunday after undergoing surgery Friday night at McLaren Oakland Hospital in Pontiac for broken bones.

"He's in stable condition and doing well," McLaren Oakland Hospital spokeswoman Teresa Rodgers said Sunday, according to the News.

His driver, James Cram, remained hospitalized in serious condition.
