Raulie Wayne Casteel, the man authorities say is the I-96 shooter, posted some angry, anti-government tweets on what appears to be his Twitter account.
The Detroit Free Press reports that Casteel, 43, of Wixom, who was arraigned on gun charges in Howell on Wednesday, posted dozens of tweets some days, and some included anti-President Obama and anti-Gov. Rick Snyder tweets.
Some posts called for the impeachment of the president and he called Snyder a "traitor to the state," the Freep reported. He also complained about a sheriff's department in Kentucky, where he once lived because he didn't take seriously a complaint he had about military helicopters flying over his home, the Free Press reports.
He also apparently had a fondness for the Second Amendment of the Constitution, which gives people the right to bear arms.
On Sept. 28, he tweeted: "The 2nd Amend is an absolute -- absolutely no compromises -- I carry everywhere I go!"
Casteel is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, carrying a weapon with unlawful intent and intentionally firing a firearm from a vehicle and three counts of possession of a firearm during the commission stemming from a shooting on Oct. 18 in Livingston County.
Judge Carol Sue Reader set bond at $2 million. He remains in behind bars and could be charged in other counties with other shootings.
"Hopefully we can scratch these senseless shootings off our to-do list," said David McCain, head of the Detroit office of the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, in an article posted at HuffPost Detroit.
Casteel had a license to carry a pistol in Kentucky but not in Michigan, authorities said.
