How he looks in tight chinos, a white blazer or Aéropostale sunglasses is hardly the most important question about Trey Burke during NBA draft week. But it fills time while we wait to see who picks the UM point guard Thursday.

Six poses by basketball draftee-in-waiting Trey Burke are in GQ, which put this one on Facebook Tuesday.
The 20-year-old, who was named National Player of the Year this past season as a sophomore, tries something new -- fashion modeling -- for GQ magazine. Six photos are in the June issue and online, and a short video (below) also is posted.
He wears street duds, not high style -- a Gap tank, Target hat, pants from American Eagle Outfitters and $29 sneakers.
The magazine's Facebook post Tuesday about the feature has nearly 1,300 "likes" and was shared more than 70 times.
But at The Detroit News' sports department, that bastion of leading-edge style, a nameless critic thinks Burke's decision to wear what GQ chose "isn’t exactly his finest moment." With a typographic eye roll, the writer even puts the word fashion in quotes.
Among the six photos posted at GQ.com, five feature the former Michigan point guard in tight-fitting trousers. The green ones are especially hideous, but the slate blue scarf in another photo brings to mind another word:
Inappropriate.
Give us the baggy maize shorts and the highlighter-yellow sneakers.
Hey, our wardrobe is closer to the looks in Classic Motorcycle Mechanics than GQ, so we have no (alligator) skin in this game. This video and the link to Burke's poses let you play fashion critic or admirer.
