With a Triple Crown in hand, and another historic season underway, Miguel Cabrera is as close to a sure thing as you can get to start in this year's All-Star game. He's currently the top vote-getter among all American League players. Still, some fans-- University of Michigan students, apparently -- don't want to risk Manny Machado overtaking Cabrera to play third base in the Mid-Summer Classic on July 16.

After all, this time it counts. Or something

So these kids -- good God, they were probably still in diapers when the Notorious B.I.G. was killed -- recreated Biggie Small's "Hypnotize" track as a tribute/anthem to Cabrera. Biggy, Biggy, Biggy becomes Miggy, Miggy, Miggy and so forth.

Fun fact: If you look in a mirror and say Miguel Cabrera's name three times on Halloween, he teleports to your house. Then he takes batting practice in your yard. Try it.

But before you do that, cast an All-Star ballot for the Tigers' third baseman. While you're at it, cast a vote for Jhonny Peralta because he really needs your support if he's going to start. And he totally deserves the start. He's hitting .324, hit a walk-off home run and took a hit-by-pitch to drive in a go-ahead run last week.
