The accused ear-biter is walking for now.
Jameson Cook of the Macomb Daily reports that Macomb County Circuit Court jury deadlocked and couldn't reach a verdict Monday in the case of Danielle Nebelung, 32, who was accused of biting off a piece of her ex-boyfriend’s ear.
Judge Edward Servitto declared a mistrial after jurors indicated twice they were deadlocked, the Macomb Daily reported.
Nebelung still faces charges of assault with intent to maim in the case involving her ex-boyfriend Anthony Caruso of Macomb Township.
Servitto scheduled a “trial date certain” for May 20.
