The opportunity couldn't have been more dream-like for ex-Tiger Justin Verlander, pitching the sixth game of the World Series for his new team, the Houston Astros.
A victory would have given the Astros the series, and Verlander a fairy tale ending to the 2017 season.
He pitched well Tuesday night, but that isn't always good enough in such a big game. He took the loss in the 3-1 defeat to the Dodgers.
