A man armed with a knife was shot and killed at the Dearborn Heights Police Department on Michigan Avenue Thursday morning, WXYZ reports.
Dearborn Heights Mayor Daniel S. Paletko tells 7 Action News that a man was walking through security and lunged at the guard with a knife in the lobby and the guard shot the man.
A witness tells 7 Action News that they were outside around 8:45 a.m. when police raced up from multiple directions with their guns drawn and ran inside.
