If you're locked up in prison, even a hospital stay can be a nice break.
Kwame Kilpatrick has moved from Milan federal prison for knee surgery, WDIV reports. He injured his knee while getting into a U.S. marshals' van on the day he was convicted of corruption charges in March.
The station didn't identify the hospital, but reported that he's waiting for a donated tendon for the procedure.
He goes back behind bars after surgery to await sentencing.
