LA-based fashion designer Andrea Racey is featuring her line in her home-state of Michigan for the first time.

Andrea Racey
Racey, a Huntington Woods native, is the talent behind the outerwear line “Helena Quinn,” which was featured in popular publications (People.com, Us Weekly, and Refinery) and on popular people (Jennifer Garner, Selma Blair, and Megan Good have all donned her coats).
“This will be the first time that people here are able to see it and try things on,” says Racey, 27. “Michigan gave me an amazing platform to start my career, so I’m excited to share it.”
Racey got her start in fashion while working for costume designer Debra McGuire on “Heroes” and “90210.”
The new collection of coats is “less ‘outerwear’ and more ‘throw-on,’” she says. “Cozier knits lined in jerseys along with lighter weight suiting’s that are great blazer alternatives. Sort of ‘Vince’ meets ‘Chloe’ at an accessible price point.”
The homecoming takes place at Complex in Birmingham from March 1-3 where she'll be having a trunk show.
