Whole Foods in Midtown Finally Sets Opening Date

The long anticipated opening of Whole Foods is Midtown is inching closer.

The Detroit News reports that 21,000 square-foot store at the corner of Mack Avenue and John R is set to open its doors on Wednesday,  June 5, at 9 a.m.

It is the comapny's first store in the city. Will it be its last? Or just the beginning of more to come? 

People are curious to see if a high-end grocery store can make it in a city that has a dearth of gocery stores.
