Five up and five down in the Steve Utash beating case.
The three remaining suspects in the case pleaded guilty Thursday in Wayne County Circuit Court to assault with attempt to do great bodily harm less than murder, Orlandar Brand-Williams of the Detroit News reports.
The defendants who pleaded are:Latrez Cummings, 19, James Davis, 24, and Wonzey Saffold, 30.
Two other defendants pleaded guilty earlier this week and had agreed to testify against the other defendants.
Utash was attacked on the city’s east side on April 2, triggering nationwide interest. He was hospitalized for weeks.
