The 10-story, 40,0000-square-foot Lawyers Building at 139 Cadillac Square in downtown Detroit is vacant except for a 7-Eleven store on the first floor. That's about to change.
Construction on the building, built in 1922, is expected to start in November and be complete in September 2018, Mike Ferlito, president of Detroit-based developer Ferlito Group, tells Kirk Pinho of Crain's Detroit Business. His company will jointly own the building with current owner Gary Tringale, who bought it in 2012 for $1.15 million.
Developers plan to build 18 studio units, 18 one-bedrooms and nine two-bedrooms with rents starting at $1,250, $1,400 and $1,950, respectively.
