Deadline Detroit keeps eyes and ears on the Mackinac Policy Conference via news coverage, social media and livestreaming.
If you seek a substantive roundup of presentations Wednesday by Detroit's mayor and top educator, or Michigan's governor and people who want his job, they're easy to find at other media sites.
This is a look at the sideshow from a pre-summer getaway by about 1,600 business, political, nonprofit and media "influencers." As at any conference, part of what they talk about involves weather, the setting, tech toys and self-promotion.
