The craziness involving random, mass shootings has become way too common in America. Here's the latest in our state:

Authorities have arrested Jason B. Dalton, 45, after six people were shot to death and two injured in Kalamazoo County during shooting spree Saturday night, Rosemary Parker of MLive reports.

Dalton was taken into custody without incident in the parking lot of a downtown Kalamazoo bar around 12:40 a.m. Sunday.

"We are very confident that we have the right person in custody. We have significant evidence to tie him to these incidents," said Kalamazoo County Prosecutor Jeff Getting, according ot MLive.

Dalton reportedly is an Uber driver, according to an executive producer of news at WOOD in Grand Rapids:

Details of the spree are in a State Police statement issued Sunday afternoon.

The Associated Press reports:

Police say the rampage began about 6 p.m. Saturday outside an apartment complex on the eastern edge of the Kalamazoo County, where a woman was shot multiple times and seriously wounded. A little more than four hours later and 15 miles away, a father and son were fatally shot while looking at vehicles at a car dealership.

Fifteen minutes after that, five people — including the 14-year-old girl — were gunned down in the parking lot of a Cracker Barrel restaurant.
