A 49-year-old Pontiac man who allegedly tried to abduct multiple women from a shopping center at Woodward and Square Lake Road turned himself in to Bloomfield Township Police Friday night, The Oakland Press reports.
Police have not said yet if they will seek to file charges, Aftab Borka writes.
The paper reports that four incidents occurred between in 15 minutes Thursday. Three incidents didn't involve physical contact the paper reports:
The first interaction occurred at 1:30 p.m. in the parking lot of a shopping center at the southwest corner of Square Lake Road and Woodward Avenue. Seven minutes later, he tried to force open a 20-year-old woman’s vehicle door and tried to pull her from the vehicle, Bloomfield Township police reported, describing it as an attempted abduction.
The suspect asked the woman if she wanted to make $100,000, police said.
After he tried to pull the woman from the vehicle, he left in a red panel van and she ran into a Qdoba restaurant for help, police said.
A short while later, at 1:45 p.m, he returned and entered the restaurant and tried to lure another woman in line out of the restaurant. She refused and he left again. Police said a second person was in the van.
