Max Scherzer supposedly injured himself during the Tigers' division championship celebration Monday night and was unable to pitch tonight.
But Jim Leyland says Scherzer is all healed up--it's a miracle!--and will likely take the mound against the Royals in this evening's season finale.
"I think there's a strong possibility that Max Scherzer will start tonight," Leyland told Michael Wilbon and Tony Kornheiser about a minute ago on ESPN's Pardon The Interruption.
