Genesee County law enforcers got a surprise during a sex crime sting this week. One accused predator, accused of trying to have sex with a teen-age girl, is a police officer and former education administrator.

That suspect, 44-year-old Todd Barrco, was arraigned Friday and kicked off the force in Vassar, a small city northeast of Frankenmuth in Tuscola County, according to WJRT-TV, the ABC affiliate in Flint.
Genesee Sheriff Chris Swanson says he arranged to meet with a 15-year-old girl to have sex and was arrested when he showed up. He's charged with child sexually abusive activity, soliciting a child and using a computer for a crime.
Swanson says he bounced from multiple school districts while also working part-time as a police officer.
"In 2014, he left the Inlay City Schools as the dean of students. In 2015, he left as the assistant principal of Westwood High School. In 2017, he left as the principal of Merrill Community School," Swanson said.
Others arrested in this week's sweep by the Genesee Human Trafficking Oppression Strike Team include a businessman and church security staffer, the sheriff says on social media. His department posts the 14-minute video below with Chris Hansen, former host of "To Catch a Predator" on NBC:
