The cherry-red aluminum statue of Willy the Pig was stolen from downtown Garden City three weeks ago.
The popular pig, who has his own Facebook page, was found Friday on a bike trail near Mallard Lake in Green Oak Township. The base of the statue was discovered in a field one day before Willy was discovered.
If Willy's repairs are too expensive, Tobar said the city might just reattach him to his base.
"We may just put it out as is and see how the public reacts," he told the Detroit News.
City officials will consider having a pig roast to celebrate Willy's homecoming.
