These day, there seems to be no shortage of new restaurants cropping up in Detroit and the suburbs. Conversely, some eating spots are quietly closing.
Mitchell's Fish Market Seafood Restaurant and Bar, 117 Willits St., in downtown Birmingham, closed week, reports David Veselenak of Hometown Life. An employee at the Mitchell's Fish Market in Rochester Hills, which remains open, confirmed the closure.
The publication reports:
A message was left seeking more information with the Landry's corporate office in Dallas, which runs several Mitchell's Fish Markets across the country.
The company also owns and operates several other restaurant brands, including Cameron's Steakhouse also in Birmingham, as well as the Rainforest Cafe at Great Lakes Crossing in Auburn Hills and Morton's The Steakhouse in Troy.
In Detroit, on Livernois, the Avenue of Fashion, 1917 American Bistro just closed its doors after nearly nine years of business, Eater Detroit reports.
