Poor Amanda Clayton. Winning the Lotto has not been the answer to all her prayers.
You might recall she was the one who pleaded guilty to collecting welfare after winning a million dollars in the Lotto.
Now, her neighbors say she's using her money to "to try and kill us."
Fox2 reports that on Sunday an ongoing dispute with a couple in her Lincoln Park neighborhood turned violent.
Candace Combs and Victor Bartolo say that she came to the house with three people she had hired to kill them.
Bartolo told Fox2 that two men charged him, one with a knife and the other with a bat and gun.
"I got a direct blow right across my head and my neck and then one on the side of my head. That's when he ran away from me and started swinging on the girls with the bat. So I said enough is enough," he said. "I ran up to him and grabbed the bat off of him. That's when he pulled out his gun and stuck it right to my face."
Bartolo said a third guy ran off and was yelling that he wasn't getting paid enough and he didn't want to go to jail.
Fox2 reported that Lincoln Park police arrested the men.
Clayton told the station she didn't hire the men to kill the couple. She has not been charged in the case.
