Two men were found dead Wednesday inside a vacant East-Side house where police say drugs were sold — on the first day of Mayor Dave Bing's "No Violence Day" initiative.

The two bodies were found inside the abandoned house in the 3500 block of Anderdon, near Mack and Conner, Inspector Dwane Blackmon, head of the Detroit Police Homicide Section, told the Detroit News.

Neither victim has been identified, Blackmon said. 

Blackmon said the abandoned house was used to sell drugs. 

Bing issued a statement this week officially proclaiming the 22nd of each month as a "No Violence Day" in Detroit — "A day for peace and healing," the proclamation said.
