Finally, some good news.
Marlon A. Walker of the Detroit Free Press reports that all Metro Detroit freeways were in full use Wednesday night.
The Freep reports when the water finally cleared on the highways, there was little damage. Some obviously feared there would be far more.
“We’ve been quite fortunate, because the potential for damage was very high,” Michigan Department of Transportation spokeswoman Diane Cross said Wednesday, according to the Freep. “We’re very lucky to say we have not found those issues on any of our freeways.”
