At least this happened during the ongoing QLine test runs preparing for Friday's public debut.
A piece of exterior panel on one streetcar flew off Saturday, John Gallagher of the Freep writes:
Free Press reader Alex Juchelka said he was bicycling near the Detroit Symphony Orchestra Hall between 8 and 9 a.m. when he saw the paneling fly off the QLine car. Measuring about 2 feet by 2 feet, the piece came off the car just above the driver's window.
Spokesman Dan Lijana tells the paper a vendor removed a panel to affix a graphic to the outside and didn't secure it.
