Alfredo Francesconi
Critics of the Roseville School Board are angry about Facebook post by Vice President Alfredo Francesconi they say are racist and aimed at Muslims and blacks.
Roseville School Board Vice President Alfredo Francescon admits to reposting on his personal page messages he saw on Facebook that suggest all Muslims are terrorists and infer that all African-Americans don't vote, reports WDIV's Mara MacDonald, Paula Tutman and Derick Hutchinson.
His page is also filled with anti-Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama postings.
Before Monday night's board meeting, about a dozen protesters showed up demanding Francesconi be removed. Three counter-protesters showed up, saying they didn't support his comments, but they did back his right to say them.
When WDIV asked after the meeting whether he thinks he's fit to serve on the board, the vice president replied:
"I have nothing to say. It's all you're going to hear, OK?"
School officials said he can only be removed with a recall vote because he's an elected official.
