Violence, which plagued Detroiters in 2017, rang in the new year with more shootings.
Six people were shot and wounded in six incidents overnight in the city from the final hour of 2017 to the early hours of 2018, James David DIckson of The Detroit News reports:
One victim is a teenage girl, another is a man who was shot in his head and abandoned at a hospital, five took place east of Woodward Avenue, four incidents involve victims who claim only that they heard gunshots before realizing they'd been hit, and only one offers a suspect description.
