Sixto Rodriguez, better known as "Sugar Man", is working overtime these days, touring the world, from Africa to Australia to Europe, cashing in on his late-in-life fame.
It's dizzying to look at his tour schedule, particularly for a guy who is 70 years old. He was in South Africa last month and is Australia this month touring all around. Then in April, he's in New York and Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and California and Amsterdam.
In May, he'll be in New Orleans, and then in May he'll show the hometown some love at the Masonic Temple. The following month, he'll be in Traverse City at the Arts and Wine Festival.
The film on Rodriguez, "Searching for Sugar Man," just won an Oscar for best document.
On Wednesday night, he played on the "Tonight Show With Jay Leno." -- A.L.
