At some point this has got to get old. But not yet.

Hearttrhob actor Ryan Gosling was spotted Sunday night at a Starbucks in Grosse Pointe and Friday night at Cafe d'Mongo's Speakeasy in downtown Detroit to wish owner Larry Mongo a happy 63rd birthday this Tuesday, according to the Griswold hangout's Facebook page. (Photo above.)

Gosling is in town to direct a new movie, "How to Catch a Monster."

Both drop-ins triggered a reflexive flurry of tweets and social media snapshot repostings that continue Monday.

One person who's had enough is journalist Aaron Foley, associate editor at Ward's Automotive Group.

"Unless Ryan Gosling can keep the city from bankruptcy, I'd prefer not to read about his every move while he's here," he posts Monday afternoon on Facebook.  "The Twitter/Facebook 'spottings' are getting to be a bit much. It's not like celebrities never visit here."
