Sayonara Mazda.

The Detroit News reports that Mazda plans to roll its last car off the the assembly line in Flat Rock today, ending production that began in the early 1990s.

The joint venture between Ford and Mazda has been producing the Mazda6 sedan and Ford Mustang muscle car. The plant has been known as the AutoAlliance International.

Mazda will now shift the production back to Japan.

The News reported that Ford plans to use the Mazda assembly line at the plant to produce the new Ford Fusion sedan
